Mr. Conteh, during the on the spot visit, met with the Medical Co-ordinator, Mr. Bassie Conteh, the Waste Management Officer Mr. Rasmus Bojesen and the Logistician, Mr. Morten Jess Nielsen.
Briefing the Donor/NGO Liaison Officer, it was reported that the hospital would soon be fully functional with all its operational units.
Presently, the Male and Female Medical and Surgical wards, the Under Fives and Children’s Ward, the Minor theatre among others are fully operational.

According to the Medical Co-ordinator, Mr. Bassie Conteh, 120 surgical operations were successfully done as at February 24, this year, adding that the re-installation of an X-Ray machine is in the pipeline.

It was also revealed that feasibility study is currently in progress for the installation of a MARK 9 (nine) Incinerator for the handling of waste management within the precinet of the hospital and the entire Massanga Community.
According to the Hospital Administrator, Mr.Thomas Fortune the manufacturing of IV Fluid, carpentry, gardening and other income generating activities have been institutionalized to boost the operations of the hospital. It was also revealed that plans are underway to put in place an effective water supply system for the running of the hospital and its immediate environs.

Under Five Ward The Donor/NGO Liaison Officer, Mr. Yayah Conteh, after a conducted tour of the various facilities lauded the management and staff of the hospital and encouraged them to intensify their operations in the area of maternal and Child Health Care.
